This course will teach you about all the different diseases and precautions that affect farm animals in Southern Africa. This course forms part of the core subjects of the National Certificate in Animal Production.

When you have completed this module, you will be able to:

Introduction to bacterial diseases of cattle their cause, transmission, symptoms, diagnosis,  treatment and control

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 6

Understand the cause, transmission, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and control of protozoal diseases that affect cattle

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 7

Introduction to the parasitic diseases that affect cattle

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 8

Introduction and understanding of the parasitic, viral, bacterial and other diseases which affect  sheep

SPECIFIC OUTCOME 9

Introduction to the most common diseases found in pigs and poultry.
